We had anticipated that we would feel pretty bummed after selling our surf boards here in Hawaii. And although it’s never fun to let go of something you really enjoy I have to say we certainly went out in style. Today was the third day of practically perfect surf conditions at Diamond Head, our very fav surf break on the island (well, right after Pipeline. Ha ha!). To put it in perspective think of it like this; we wanted to get some photos and video during our last few days, but every time we saw the surf it was incredible, so the camera inevitably got left in the truck as we quickly slapped on some sunscreen and raced out to the line up! Yee haw, Daddy’s com’in!
Well today was the El Honcho of them all. Not only did we both snag a few dreamy faces on our own, but we ended up catching a great wave together! I just kept yelling at Spice: “That’s it Betty! Ride that baby!” Absolutely brilliant!
Although we were again boardless surfers a few hours later, we realized that we’re never going to get enough of this “searching for the ultimate ride” thing in whatever form it takes! So, going forward please just call us Utah and Tyler.
