New York, New York

Feb 10, 2007:

It is with mixed emotions that we left NYC today. We have dreamed about this day and this journey for a long time, and at the same time, it seems to have arrived rather quickly.

As our plane took off from LaGuardia early this morning, we had a stunning view of the glorious city – and right in the heart of it, Central Park, our favorite place in Manhattan.

At that moment, I realized just how much NYC had become a part of me -- of us. Scott and I have spent more than half of our married life together in this fabulous city. We’ve had tons of amazing memories with family and friends here, and we’ve also made some terrific new friends, especially in the last year.

We are going to miss you all very much over the coming months, but we’re looking forward to seeing you all again later in 2007 (and hopefully, by then, I will truly be a Surfing Betty!!).

Hey Pups,
Awesome blog. Welcome to retired life...skiing, surfing, travelling...what's not to like? Now you'll appreciate the tough decisions we retired types face every day...is today a ski day, work out day or both? Lots of pressure but we know you can handle it. Enjoy!
