… Awesome, got it ~ thanks!

PooFest Cometh
For the less informed in skiing lore, PooFest is not an obscene reference to something that one may not choose to discuss freely in pleasant company. Rather it refers to the celebration by skiers and boarders alike, of gargantuan, plate sized snowflakes that fall in an unstoppable blizzard of frozen bliss. Indeed, part of the allure of PooFest is that it can’t be planned and for better or worse, you almost have to stumble onto it to find it. As luck would have it, we found PooFest in all its deep, carving glory at Homewood, or Homie, today. Admittedly, Homie is one of North Lake Tahoe’s more modest hills peaking at 7880’ and with a vertical rise of only about 1,630’. However there in lies its eternal beauty. With the high alpine at Alpine Meadows and Squaw shut down due to windy gusts of up to 60mph, the majestic evergreens on Homie’s peak were proudly sporting 8” snow afros ~ and what a glorious sight they were. The day was so epic, that there were rumors that local Tahoe City ski legend, Sonny “Wet Woody” O’Callahan, who was famously depicted as Harkin Banks in the seminal extreme skiing movie, “HotDog”, which was originally released in January 1983, was even on the hill. In fact a lifty, three-year Homie vet Johnny “Sweetsmacks” Perdue, who we spoke to said he heard Sonny himself say, “Bro, this reminds me of the great dump of ’88”, and I think we all remember that one! That’s all for now, it’s time to hit the hay and get ready for PooFest Friday…

Big up to Sonny O'Callahan!
I heard a faintly whispered rumor that he was chums with Patches O'Houlihan but there is no way to confirm since the latters tragic demise. The poo is strong with you, young paduans.
Peace out, Dogs!

Yo Pups,
Anything for you guys but don't forget to let us know when you want us to turn off the PooFest tap. Remember, some of us like to cruise in style with our good buddy, Old Roy "White Velvet" Corduroy. By the way, if Wet Woody was the model for Harkin in one of cinema's greatest achievements, which local legend was the model for Squirrel?
